Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome commonly called AIDS is a life-threatening microbial disease that attacks the defense system. Caused by the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), AIDS progressively reduces the ability of the body to fight infections and diseases. Spread of HIV primarily occurs through sexual contact. Early detection and treatment
